The 5/6th grade boys basketball game will be played at South Prairie today, not in Kenmare. First game still starts at 4:00.

State Speech was held at Mandan High on April 27th. Nine qualified speech team members competed their hearts out, with six progressing to finals. In Humorous Duo, Emma Marten and Karl Behm placed 6th! Josh Lindbo and Gracie Rauschenberger placed 1st to be crowned State Champions in Humorous Duo. In Humorous Interp, Josh Lindbo placed 2nd! Maddie Hogue placed 8th! In Speech to Inform, Brylee Beeter placed 5th!   In Impromptu, Calen Rohrbach placed 4th! State is a challenging contest and our kids represented our schools with class and with competitive grace. In the history of the Max-South Prairie Speech team and in the South Prairie School, Josh Lindbo and Gracie Rauschenberger's win is historic. Their first place win at the NDHSAA Class B State Speech Tournament is the team's and school's first NDHSAA 1st place championship. This is only the beginning. Each year, there are prizes for the top 6 teams. In team totals points, we placed 5th out of 117 schools! Our All State winners were also recognized and are Josh Lindbo, Karl Behm, Maddie Hogue, Skylar Beck, Gracie Rauschenberger, Emma Marten, and Natalee Becker.

Reminder! The 2023-2024 Activity Banquet is Wednesday, May 8th at 6:00 p.m. Please fill out the attached form to the high school office by May 1st. The baseball game scheduled for today has been postponed. There will be no baseball or softball practice today.

Good luck to the speech team state qualifiers this weekend! They will compete tomorrow at Mandan High School against over 100 class B schools represented in 14 different categories. Prom grand march is tomorrow at 7:00! Admission is $2 and goes to the after prom party. Pictures start at 5:30 for the couples attending!

🥎The softball games tomorrow @ Nedrose have been postponed to April 23rd. *We know it's hard to keep up with all of these spring schedule changes, but remember you can always look on the athletics section of the app/website or the Google Events Calendar to see the updated schedules.

⚾️ The baseball games today vs. Surrey have been postponed. It will be played as a double-header on May 7th at Corbett Field starting at 4:00.

On Monday, April 22nd the South Prairie-Max Speech Team State Qualifiers will hold a “Showcase of Speakers” in the Commons at South Prairie School. It will begin at 7:00 pm and all of our Region 8 Champion speakers headed to State Speech the next weekend will be performing their pieces for the public. There is no cost for the event. Don’t miss this! Our kids are so entertaining!

The softball games at Nedrose on Friday have been postponed (still working on a date). The softball game postponed vs. Harvey has been rescheduled for May 13th in Fessenden at 4:30.
