Welcome Back to School, Families! 🎉
We are so excited to kick off a new school year with you and your children! As we begin this journey together, we want to make sure that all families are informed and prepared for a smooth transition back to school.

🚗 Car Drop-Off & Pick up Location:
Families who are driving their children to school should use Door 4 on the East side of the school. Doors open at 7:45 am. Please do not leave children unattended before this time. Doors will open at 3:10pm for afterschool pick up.

🚌 Bus Drop-Off:
Students arriving by bus will be dropped off at door 5, located on the South side of the school. Staff will be present to greet and guide students safely into the building.

For everyone's safety, please avoid using the bus lane for car drop-offs.

Football is back!! Tomorrow night August 15 at 5 pm, we are hosting a scrimmage with Beulah, Hazen, and Rugby. Attendance is free, but make sure to bring a chair as the press box is under construction. Come out and support your Royals!!

The annual Back-to-School Night is on Thursday, August 14th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.! Students and families are welcome to come meet their teachers, bring their school supplies, find their lockers, and enjoy a picnic supper in the cafeteria!

Then, we will see everyone back on the first day of school - August 19th!

Mrs. Berglof’s first grade class won Best of Show at the North Dakota State Fair for the Roosevelt Zoo Animal book they entered. Congratulations to all the students for their hard work!

To all athletes trying out for volleyball this year: Please arrive at tryouts with a plain white shirt, as numbers will be assigned to each player. We will be writing the numbers on the shirts. If you are unable to provide a white shirt for any reason, please don’t hesitate to reach out in advance.

Reminder of the new South Prairie School District Cell Phone / Electronic Personal Device Policy. Remember to pay for Yondr pouch purchase/rental fees and any other fees that need to be paid before the start of the year. There will be an important change taking effect at the start of the upcoming school year. Due to a recent change in state law, and in accordance with newly adopted District Policy FFI, all student access to cell phones, Bluetooth earpieces, and smartwatches will be restricted during the school day. These personal devices must remain inaccessible to students from the first bell to the last bell of the school day. To support students in complying with this new policy, South Prairie School District will implement the Yondr pouch system. This system allows students to keep their phones with them, but locked in a secure pouch that cannot be accessed during school hours. Students will be required to lock their phones in their pouches at the start of their day, and will be able to unlock it at various stations at the end of the day. All students in grades K-12 have the following options for Yondr Pouches: • Rent for the school year: $10 • Purchase and own: $30 All students bringing a phone into the school building will be required to secure it in a Yondr pouch upon entry and keep it secured until dismissal. Students can also choose to keep their phone at home. We understand this is a significant adjustment for some families, but we believe this step will promote a more focused, respectful, and safe learning environment. The policy is designed to reduce distractions, support mental well-being, and protect instructional time. Disciplinary actions for students who do not follow this policy will be added to the discipline matrix and student handbook.
