Congratulations to the cast and crew of our one-act “The Drowsy Professor”! They placed FIRST today at the Region 8 play contest at MSU! Burke Rauschenberger was awarded a Superior Acting Award and the ENTIRE cast received a Superior Honorable Mention Acting Award! They punched their ticket to the ND Class B State Drama Contest in Jamestown on November 23-24. It was a GREAT DAY to be a Royal!💙🤍 🤴

BREAK A LEG to our cast and crew of “The Drowsy Professor” today! They are competing at MSU’s Aleshire 🎭 Theatre in the Region 8 One-Act Play Contest.
They perform, along with 7 other schools in the region, for a panel of judges, and the top two plays will qualify for the state contest later this month. We have 24 actors on stage and seven crew members representing South Prairie High School! The Royals performance time is 2:40 pm with awards scheduled for 5:00 pm. Do well, Royals!

We will be leaving at 10:30, having lunch at the mall, then going to the expo. The students will need to bring their own money for lunch.

Trap Team Wins Fall League
The Royals Trap Team had a solid fall winning the league title for the 8th straight time.
Led by Logan Hanneman, Ella Novak and Breanna Mindt, these ladies went 1-2-3 to dominate the girls division.

A Friendly Reminder About Cold Weather Clothing
As the temperatures begin to drop, please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the colder weather. It is important that students have a warm coat and proper shoes when getting on the bus.
We try to get outside for recess whenever possible. Please make sure your child has a warm coat, and consider sending a hat, gloves or mittens, and other winter gear as the weather gets colder. Please label your child’s belongings whenever possible.
Thank you for helping us keep our students warm, safe, and comfortable throughout the colder months!

🎃The 6-12th grade classes decorated some awesome pumpkins for the annual contest! Stop by the table in the high school gym during conferences today to vote for your favorite! All staff, students, and parents are welcome to vote!
📚The final days of the Scholastic Book Fair are this week! Students and teachers have completed their Wishlists. They are available in the library during Parent Teacher Conferences from 1:00 - 7 :00 on Thursday.
Minot North High School is hosting a financial aid night for all juniors and seniors and their parents on October 27th from 6-7pm in the Minot North auditorium. They are welcoming students and parents from South Prairie to join as well! This is a great opportunity to learn more about financial aid, the FAFSA, and to ask any questions about college.
The South Prairie Vision Zero Crew had their first seatbelt check of the year this morning. They handed out prizes to the 221 students they caught wearing their seatbelts! Way to be safe!
