💻 On Wednesday, students from 15 area high schools competed at the 25th annual SRT Tech Day in various business and technology related competitions.
Each school can have one student compete in each of the business/tech categories.
South Prairie had 3 students place in the top 3!

Olivia Jansen competed in Cybersecurity and Angelina Casucci competed in Accounting.
In addition to the competitive events, students participated in sessions with Thomas Blade from Arctic Wolf regarding steps to take after being hacked, and interactive activities with Jazmine Schultz, co-owner of Prairie Sky Breads, entrepreneur, educator, and energized life coach.

Yearbook Cover Contest!
The Yearbook committee is holding a contest for the cover of the yearbook. Submissions can be made either online or on paper. Both the front and the back cover must be submitted for your design to be considered. The cutoff date is October 31 at 3:20. Designs can be submitted to Mrs. McRae hand drawn or digitally.

📚The last day of the Book Fair is Thursday, October 16! The Book Fair will be open during Parent Teacher Conferences until 7:30 pm. Students and teachers have created Wish Lists that are available in the library.

Parent-teacher conferences are tomorrow from 1:30-7:30! Elementary parents, make sure you are signed up for a time for your conference. 6-12th grade conferences will be in the high school gymnasium.

🏈Update on Friday’s Football Game: We had to cancel the varsity football game with Velva this Friday. Due to a rash of injuries in last week’s game, we were down to 14 total players with many of those being 9th graders. After talking with Velva, we decided this was best for the safety of our young players.
As a result, we will recognize the senior football players and cheerleaders along with golf, volleyball,and cross country prior to our varsity volleyball match versus DL-B on October 30th.

The South Prairie-Max grade 5-6 football team is undefeated and will play in the “Future Bowl” which is the overall championship game on Saturday, October 11 at noon at the Minot North football field.
Any student, in any grade, that shows up to that game will receive a coupon for free ice cream on October 14th during their lunch! Of course all Royals fans are encouraged to come out and support our future Royals football players!
