The junior high boys basketball games scheduled on Thursday, February 29 will be played in Drake and will start at 4:00 & 5:00 to accommodate our kids and parents who wish to attend the State Basketball Tournament game Thursday night.
Spring Parent Teacher Conferences are March 4th & 5th, from 3:45-7:00. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for parents/guardians to see what students have been working on throughout the year. Incredibly early on Saturday morning, the Max - South Prairie Speech Team traipsed to Burke Central in Lignite. The trek proved to be fortuitous as many speakers progressed to finals.
In Humorous Duo:
Emma Marten and Karl Behm placed 3rd.
Natalee Becker and Maddie Hogue placed 5th.
Josh Lindbo and Gracie Rauschenberger placed 1st qualifying for State Speech in April!
In Serious Duo:
Natalee Becker and Josh Lindbo placed 3rd.
Gracie Rauschenberger and Karl Behm placed 1st qualifying for State Speech!
In Humorous Interp, Josh Lindbo placed 2nd and Maddie Hogue placed 3rd.

Congratulations to the girls on their 58-23 win today vs Hazen! They'll play in the state tournament at the MSU Dome Thursday-Saturday! (Schedule will be determined later this evening)

The student council's Royal Ties event was a success! Thanks to all the students and teachers who took time to help us make blankets this morning -- we were able to make 12 blankets to donate to the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Minot.

South Prairie competed in the Regional Academic Olympics in Plaza on Wednesday. At this event, each school brings 6 students to compete by answering questions in the areas of math, language arts, science, social studies, current events, and electives. The top teams advance to the lightning round and the winner of the lightning round advances to state. The Royals missed qualifying for the lightning round by one 1 point, but still did a great job! 👏
South Prairie team members: Emma Marten (10th grade), Gracie Rauschenberger (11th grade), Riley Johnson (12th grade), Kerzy Sorensen (12th grade), Rayna Falcon (12th grade), and Josh Lindbo (11th grade).

The girls basketball team placed 2nd in the region 3 tournament. They will play in a state qualifier game on Saturday at 1:00 at the Minot Auditorium vs. Hazen.
