🌟 This week's 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙛𝙛 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 is on Amanda Schillinger, Paraprofessional! 🌟


🌸 Starting on Monday for 2 weeks, everyone has the opportunity to purchase a Forget-Me-Not Flower for $1 from their elementary teacher or from Mrs. Hiltner in the library to support the Alzheimer's Association! When students purchase a flower they can choose to put it on their locker or put a name of one of the candidates to be pied in the face. 🥧😊
On Thursday, March 2nd, students can purchase a flower for $2 and then can wear a hat all day!


Kindergarten and Preschool Registration is on February 27th from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.!


Today was the Ward County Spelling Bee and South Prairie had 6 students participate:
5th grader Marshall Smith, 6th grader Hermione Dominguez, 7th graders Karolina Aragon-Ortiz and Mykel Stever, and 8th graders John McGrath and Luke Persad.
Congratulations, to Marshall who was the 5th grade county runner-up (schools outside of Minot limits) and Hermione who was the 6th grade county runner-up.
They competed against other area schools where the top speller advances to the state competition in March.


The District 12 Boys Basketball Tournament starts on Friday at the Minot Auditorium. We play at approx. 7:30 p.m. vs Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood! Good luck, boys! 🏀


Hunter Education Class
Please mark your calendars for this year’s Hunter Education Class at South Prairie School. The class is open to any South Prairie/Max students and parents born in 2012 or earlier. The class will be held on the following days.
• Tuesday, February 28 from 3:30-8:00
• Thursday, March 2 from 3:30-8:00
• Friday, March 3 from 3:30-8:00
Nancy Peterson will serve supper each night at a cost of $10 for the 3 nights. Please bring your money the 1st night if you would like to just eat here.
There is a sign-up sheet outside of Nancy’s Office for students to register. Please register by Friday the 24th.

The Region 6 Girls Basketball Tournament begins on Monday at the Minot State Dome! We play the final game of the night against Nedrose at 7:30 p.m. It will also be on the PSP Network.

Congratulations to the FFA AG Sales team on their 2nd place finish at the Kindred FFA Alumni competition yesterday. Individually, all team members received gold awards. Gracie Rauschenberger took 4th place, Jacob Kramer took 7th, Joshua Lindbo 11th, and Brylee Beeter 12th. Annaliese Rauschenberger and Adam Newman both also received gold awards in the Agronomy contest. Good work SPFFA!


South Prairie Elementary is PUMPED UP for HEART HEALTH! The students have been working hard in P.E and learning how to live a heart healthy lifestyle. Here are some ways to stay active in your home. Just a reminder that all packets are due back by February 17th. Thanks to all who have jumped in to help a wonderful cause.

Great job to the Royals girls basketball team on their 2nd place finish in the district tournament tonight! They will be the number 2 seed from District 12 going into the regional tournament! The first round of regionals starts Monday, February 20th and they'll take on Nedrose at the Minot State Dome!
Also, Skotti Beck and Azjiah Trader were both named to the All-District team! Great job this season, girls!

The girls basketball team plays in the district championship tonight around 7:00 p.m. against Our Redeemer's at the Minot Auditorium!
After the game, everyone is welcome to meet at Planet Pizza for a $10 buffet they will have set up for all Royals fans and players. Stop by after the game to congratulate the girls on their first appearance in the district championship and their first time qualifying for the regional tournament! Go Royals!
