Thank you to everyone who shopped at the recent Scholastic Book Fair. It was South Prairie’s best fair ever! The sales totaled $7564 which means the library earned $3782 in profits. That will buy a lot of books for the collection, along with supplies for the library. Thanks again, and happy reading!

South Prairie School is having a 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙧 in the Library! 📚
October 10-14 and 17-20: Open daily from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Extended Hours: October 17 and 18: 4:00-7:00 (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
** During the first week, students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair to preview the books and other items and write up their own wish list to take home with them. (Copies of wish lists for grades PreK-5 will be available at the fair.) Students can shop the first week too. Teachers may also have a classroom wish list. Patrons have the opportunity to purchase a book from the list or make a monetary donation towards the purchase of classroom books. Gift certificates for students and staff members are available as well.
** During the second week of the fair, students will be able to purchase books during their library time, or at any time during regular school hours.
** NEW THIS YEAR: Scholastic is now charging sales tax on purchases at a rate of 5.5%.
** A safe, cashless payment option is available for students called the eWallet.
Families can create an eWallet account and funds are immediately available for use at the in-school book fair. Other family members and friends can contribute to this too. Instructions on how to set up an eWallet can be found on our school’s homepage at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/southprairieschool
Any remaining funds on an eWallet at the end of the fair will be added to the library’s fund to purchase books from the book fair.
