Trap Team Wins Best in the West
The South Prairie Trap Team won the Scheels Best in the West trap shoot held Saturday at the Minot Gun Club. With a score of 472 the Royals were 7 shots better then the Missouri River Shooting Club from Bismarck/Mandan.
Leading the way with scores of 96 were Brianna Helsene and Mathew Abel. Helsene won the High Female Shooter award as well.
The next competition will be The State Tournament next Sunday in Horace.

Annaliese Rauschenberger was elected as the 2023-20224 North Dakota FFA State Reporter! She will serve North Dakota FFA for a one-yearterm.

Congratulations to Gage Olson on his 37th place finish out of over 130 golfers at the state golf tournament!
The trap shooting team participated in the Top Ten shoot held in Horace today. 23 teams from North Dakota and western Minnesota brought their best ten shooters with 8 scores counting. South Prairie won with a dominating score of 775, 36 better than 2nd place. Samual Abel won the tournament with a score of 99 edging out Carson Anderson and David Abel’s scores of 98.
The Royals averaged 96.75 for the top 8 with a total score of 956 out of 1000. Nice job, everyone!

Congratulations to Gage Olson on shooting a 77 today at regional golf at the Air Force Base and qualifying for the state tournament in Wahpeton on June 6th and 7th!
South Prairie was so lucky to have Ana be a part of our school this year! She was a foreign exchange student who came to us from Spain for her 10th grade year! She was a joy to have in our school and we wish her the absolute best as she goes back to Spain!
If you want to say goodbye before she heads back to Spain, stop by her farewell party hosted by the Smith family at Oak Park Shelter #9 tomorrow from 7-9 pm!

Dr. Mattern and the Trinity Health Sports Medicine Team would like to offer physicals for South Prairie will be offered June 16, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and July 11, 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Trinity Health Dryland Room, MAYSA Arena. No appointment necessary. Athletes should bring a pre-filled out form from your school or from online (https://ndhsaa.com/files/NDHSAA_Physical_Form.pdf) with a parent signature and $30.00 cash or check payable to Trinity Health Sports Medicine.
• Only eligible athletes are those entering grades 7-12
• Forms need to be downloaded and filled out ahead of time
• Please call 701-857-3491 if you have any questions
Dr. Mattern appreciates the opportunity to take care of these athletes. Please also note that for each $30 physical completed, ½ of those funds are held in escrow by Trinity Sports Medicine or returned back to the school’s Athletic Department for purchase of Sports Medicine Supplies at SP High School Athletics.
