
South Prairie Schools Mandatory "Dual Credit" night and College planning night is rescheduled for Tuesday, April 26 from 5:30-7:30 in the South Prairie Commons area for any current 9th-11th grade student who is planning on taking a college class next Fall. The admissions counselor and financial aid director from Dakota College of Bottineau along with Mrs. Gerding the 6-12th Grade School Counselor at South Prairie will be in charge of this event. Students who are taking a college class for the first time will need their social security number and a credit card in order to complete the process. All students and their parents will learn about dual credit classes, how to navigate on campus connection to complete the process, view grades, make payments, and request transcripts. Mrs. Gerding will also explain the ND State Scholarship requirements as well as where to find scholarship information. And finally, parents will be given information on the FAFSA and student loans. The South Prairie prom has been moved to FRIDAY, April 22nd due to the weather forecast! Time and location will remain the same, but it will just be moved up a day.
All students who are going to prom will be dismissed and excused from class at 12:00 p.m. on Friday to get ready and prepare for prom. Juniors will decorate Friday morning and possibly on Thursday after school depending on when the backdrop can be delivered.

South Prairie School will be hosting a 3 on 3 league starting this Sunday, April 24th. Individuals can come each Sunday and be randomly placed on a team with other individuals. Each week you get points for wins and points. The last week individuals are ranked according to their points for wins and placed on a team accordingly for an end of season tournament. Prizes will be awarded for individual winners in each age group as well as tournament winners. Scores are averaged by number of Sundays present, so no penalty for missing. Dates are Sundays, April 24, May 1, and May 8, and May 15. 3rd-6th Grade 5-6:30pm and 7th-12th Grade 6:30-8pm.

All Elementary Students will be allowed to purchase a rootbeer float during lunchtime from $3 each.
All 6th-12th Grade students will be able to purchase baked goods during lunch for various prices. If anyone would like to donate to the bake sale, please drop off your baked goods by 10am on Wednesday to the elementary or high school office.

The Grade 1-4 spring music program will be held Tuesday, April 19 with the matinee at 2:00 and the evening performance at 6:30.

School and bussing will run as normal Tuesday, April 19.
Busses will run where possible. Parents please contact your bus driver and arrange different pick up locations if your driveways are not cleared for bus travel.
