
The South Prairie School Board invites the public to participate in a school demographic planning meeting to fulfill requirements under NDCC 15.1-07-26. This open public meeting will be held on June 7 at 7:00. At this forum, the school board will discuss and receive public input on how three- and five-year demographics may impact academic and extracurricular programs, instructional and administrative staffing, facility needs and utilization, district tax levies, and the district’s strategic plan.

Trooper Camp Starts Tomorrow in Garrison. Camp runs from 4:30-7:30pm Monday, 12:30-7:30pm Tues, Wed, and Thursday, and 8:30-12:30pm on Friday with an Awards Ceremony at 12:30pm on Friday. A bus will be leaving South Prairie one hour before camp starts each day and returning one hour after camp concludes each day. The bus will stop at Max school about 15 minutes after departure on the way to Garrison and about 45 minutes after the conclusion of camp. School will be dismissed 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 on Friday, May 20th at 12:30 p.m. The busses will run at 12:30 and all students will have a sack lunch before dismissal.
Students in 9-12 who are not taking finals will not be required to come to class Wednesday-Friday. Friday is a make-up day for anyone who missed the time they were supposed to take their final test on Wednesday and Thursday. Once students have taken their final, then they are not required to come to class.
6-8th grade students have a normal schedule until Friday when they will have each class for about 20 minutes.
Kindergarten graduation in on Thursday and that is their last day of school!

𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙂𝙮𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙚
There will be open gyms this summer at South Prairie. The open gyms will be every Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. starting June 1st through mid August (except Wednesday June 29th due to conflict). The open gyms are FREE for all South Prairie boys and girls who want to develop their basketball skills. Please bring your own basketball and clean shoes. The softball game scheduled for today has been canceled and there will be practice for softball and baseball after school.

The baseball game today vs Central McLean has been postponed to Monday.

Basketball Information 🏀
Trooper Camp will be held in Garrison starting May 23-27th for boys and girls entering 4th -12th grade. A bus will leave South Prairie School each day of camp one hour prior to camp starting and return one hour after the conclusion of camp each day, with a stop in Max along the way. Campers will work on fundamental skills of basketball as well as 1 on 1, 3 on 3, 5 on 5, Fastbreak League, Hot shot, 3-2-1 shooting, and freethrows. Each Camper will earn an award and a free camp t-shirt and basketball. Dinner will be provide on Tues, Wed, and Thursday.
South Prairie Skills camp will run three days a week for six weeks starting June 7th. Boys and girls entering grades 4-6 will run from 8-9:20 and boys and girls entering grades 7-12 will run from 9:30-10:50. Trinity Sports Medicine will run a 20 minute strength and agility session two of those three days each week during those times, while the rest o the time will be spent on basketball skills like shooting, 1 on 1 moves, passing, dribbling, rebounding, post offense and defense and many other facets of the game.
South Prairie Basketball Camp is for boys and girls entering grades K-8 and will run June 15-16-17 from 3-5:30pm each day. Campers will work on fundamental skills of basketball as well as 1 on 1, 3 on 3, 5 on 5, Fastbreak League, Hot shot, 3-2-1 shooting, and freethrows. Each Camper will earn an award and a free camp t-shirt.




The baseball game today against Surrey has been moved to Hoeven Fields starting at 4:00 p.m.

The baseball players are selling raffle tickets for a Traeger Pro 575 Pellet Grill.
Tickets are $5! Contact a baseball player if you would like to purchase a ticket.
