South Prairie CLC needs your help!
As you may already know, CLC has moved into the portables! With this new
space we would love some new things to fill it up! We have made an Amazon.com wishlist and a Walmart.com wishlist and would love for you to donate some things to help us out! Everything will be automatically shipped straight to the school so you don’t have to worry about it being at your house!
Thank you so much for you help!

The South Prairie senior class is hosting a 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙁𝙁 𝙑𝙎. 𝙎𝙏𝙐𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙎 𝘽𝘼𝙎𝙆𝙀𝙏𝘽𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝙂𝘼𝙈𝙀 on Tuesday, March 22nd! This event is open for all ages and community members to come enjoy (and probably laugh at the staff members' expense). Bring your family, eat an awesome spaghetti supper served by the senior class, and enjoy some basketball! 🏀🍝
The game will be South Prairie juniors and seniors vs South Prairie staff members, however, if either teams end up needing a deeper bench, we will reach out to underclassmen for the student team and alumni for the staff team!
You can also bid on some silent auction items that will be announced closer to the event date!
Mark your calendars!
📅 March 22nd
🍝 Dinner & Silent Auction: 6:00 p.m.
🏀 Game: 7:00 p.m.

Don't forget! Tonight is the first night of parent/teacher conferences from 4:00-7:00 p.m.!

Mark your calendars! Parent/teacher conferences are next week!

Wow! Numerous families answered our call to join our team and take the Kids Heart Hero Challenge! I am so proud to say the South Prairie Elementary is donating 2,083 dollars to the American Heart Association! Thank you all for your support of this important cause!

Here is some information for parents as we plan the calendar for next year:
As a school district we are contracted with the teachers for 175 days of instruction. When looking at a school calendar we attempt to start the 1st week of sporting activities competition. Next year, football will start practice on August 3rd with the 1st game on the 19th. Volleyball will start practice on the 15th and girls golf will start on August 1st.
We attempt to not do early releases for staff training as we know and understand that it creates child care issues. When a staff training is scheduled, we try to do it before the year starts or in line with a holiday (Presidents Day is a staff inservice day).
This year was the 1st year where we have scheduled a full week of spring break. As we plan for next year, please take some time to complete this survey and give us feedback on your preference for the length of spring break.
https://forms.office.com/r/ehFPYLdF67
*Please only complete one survey per family.

📸 Spring pictures are optional on March 23rd, but if you would like your child to take them, you can order online or by filling out this form!

There will be a MANDATORY parent/player softball meeting at 5:30 this Thursday in the Max school cafeteria!

Library Update from Mrs. Hiltner:
Shortages have even affected book fairs now. Because of lack of product availability, the Scholastic Buy One Get One Free Book Fair will not be held during parent/teacher conferences. The new dates are April 18-29. More information will be posted closer to the start of the fair. Thank you.

Congratulations to Carter Korslein and Lance Pitner (12 graders) on being named to the District 12 All-District Team! Nice work, Royals! 🏀

South Prairie Elementary – Great work so far on our Kids Heart Challenge - Jump Rope for Heart!

Student Council is raising awareness about Alzheimer’s by selling
Forget-Me-Not Flowers from February 28 – March 11.
This is the statewide service project for the North Dakota Association of Student Councils. We are proud to show our ROYAL support for this cause.

The theme for todays District Boys Tournament is “Take the Panthers by STORM! Gray out!” All fans are asked to represent South Prairie in a positive manner and that you will be asked to leave for unacceptable dress or cheers.
Good Luck Boy!
Mr. Stanley

The boys basketball district tournament starts today! Good luck, Royals! 🏀
