Who: Annual school board election will be held for the purpose of electing one member to the school board from Torning Township and one member from Freedom Township.
When: School Board Election will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Polls will be open from 11am-7pm
Where: South Prairie School-Commons
How to Vote: You must show a valid ID and have resided in our school district for at least 30 days.
During poll hours come to the school and vote in person.
Absentee Vote: If you would like to vote by absentee ballot:

Return completed form to the business manager via mail or in-person before June 6, 2022.
Once form is verified you will receive an absentee ballot with instructions. Follow instructions and return ballot. Absentee Ballot must be mailed (post marked) or delivered to the school by June 6, 2022
You can only vote one time.

There is no practice today after school for golf, track, baseball, or softball.

The JH Baseball game today has been canceled due to weather.

Lion Pride Wrestling Camp!
Lion Pride Wrestling Club will be hosting their 2nd ever wrestling camp for the elementary. This camp will be two days with lunch provided both days and T- Shirts for all the wrestlers. They will be teaching basic fundamentals of the sport of wrestling in an enjoyable environment.
Who: Any wrestler grades K-6
When: May 31-June 1
Where: Bishop Ryan wrestling room and Bishop Ryan Gym. What to wear: shorts/sweats/singlet, wrestling or tennis shoes. Cost: $75. (check payable to BRCS)

Introducing South Prairie School’s First Ever Piñata Smash!
6th through 12th graders will be able to buy a ticket for the Piñata Smash Raffle. Five names per lunch will be drawn for a chance to smash the piñata. The first person to hit the piñata and have the candy fall out will also win a gift basket with some of the following items included: $10 gift cards to Dairy Queen, Target, Scheels, Starbucks, Slim Chickens, Mi México, The Station, candy, a mini piñata among other items! Tickets will be on sale this week in the commons during each lunch or pick yours up in room 218 after school! The cost is $1 for one ticket or 6 tickets for 5 dollars. Join us and get your name in for the first ever South Prairie Piñata Smash!

South Prairie 3 on 3 will start up this evening from 5 to 630 for ALL age groups. 3 on 3 will run this Sunday and the next three Sundays after this continuing through May 22. If you have not signed up you can show up at the door. This is different than originally planned as ALL age groups will run from 5 to 6:30 PM. See you soon!

A huge thank you to our South Prairie teachers, staff, and community for such a terrific amount of bake sale goodies! Even after a successful day yesterday, we had several items left over and will be selling them during jh and hs lunches. All proceeds will go to the Kramer family! Thank you for your support.

South Prairie will be holding root beer float sales for junior high and high school students during lunch tomorrow for three dollars each and a bake sale on the elementary end for all elementary students. All proceeds will go to support the Kramer family. If you would like to donate goodies, that would be much appreciated! Please bring your donated goodies to either the high school or elementary office.

We are moving forward with a new program to help welcome new students and families to South Prairie School and are looking for parent or guardian volunteers! Our school has so much to offer students and families. It is a unique community that continues to grow. It is hoped that, with your participation in this program, new families will feel welcomed and become active members of the school and community.

South Prairie Schools Mandatory "Dual Credit" night and College planning night is rescheduled for Tuesday, April 26 from 5:30-7:30 in the South Prairie Commons area for any current 9th-11th grade student who is planning on taking a college class next Fall. The admissions counselor and financial aid director from Dakota College of Bottineau along with Mrs. Gerding the 6-12th Grade School Counselor at South Prairie will be in charge of this event. Students who are taking a college class for the first time will need their social security number and a credit card in order to complete the process. All students and their parents will learn about dual credit classes, how to navigate on campus connection to complete the process, view grades, make payments, and request transcripts. Mrs. Gerding will also explain the ND State Scholarship requirements as well as where to find scholarship information. And finally, parents will be given information on the FAFSA and student loans. Please plan to attend with your child if they plan to take a college class for dual credit next year. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Please click this link to register for the event:
