Dear South Prairie Families:
A ‘school-wide Title 1 program’ works with students in grades K-8 to raise academic achievement. As a ‘school-wide Title 1 school,’ South Prairie is encouraging our rising grades 1-8 students to continue their math skills this summer by accepting the Summer Math Challenge.
The flyer explains this free, 6-week program, starting June 21st, whereby students will earn weekly badges online. You can sign up by going to https://hub.lexile.com/smc.
The final certificate of completion can be brought to school in August or emailed to me at eileen.ciser@k12.nd.us or sent through ClassDojo.
We are looking forward to a special bonus celebration when we return in August for those who complete the 6-week program and submit the certificate!
Kind regards,
Mrs. Ciser

The end of the school year is near!
Final exams start tomorrow for grades 9-12 (A=exempt and B=optional if you want to increase your grade)! If students don’t have to take finals, they are not required to attend class.
Grades 6-12 will have even classes Wednesday, odd classes Thursday, and all classes on Friday. The middle school students will have a shortened schedule on Friday so that they have all 8 classes for about 20 minutes and the high school students will use Friday as a day to make up any finals they missed.
All 6-12 students must complete the end of the school year checklist and turn it into the office. The checklist requires them to get initials from all of the their teachers saying that they turned in all books and materials, an initial from the librarian saying that they turned in all of their books, an initial from the office that they turned in their lock/cleaned out their locker/paid fees, and an initial from Miss Palczewski after they bring their computer, charger, and case to her by TOMORROW at the end of the day. (If their computer is needed longer than that to take a final, the teacher must pre-arrange that with Miss Palczewski).
