It's 𝙃𝙊𝙈𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆! Here is a list of events happening this week! Tomorrow is Royals shirt day with the junior high and high school volleyball teams both playing at home! Go Royals!

🏀South Prairie will be hosting 3 on 3 for five Saturdays this fall! 🏀 The dates are October 3, 10, 17, 24, and November 7. Individuals interested come each Saturday, get placed on a new team each week and play at least 3 games per session. You do not come with your own team. Prizes are awarded for most wins for an individual in each group. 7th-8th Grade Girls and Boys run 9-11am, and 3rd-6th Grade girls and boys run 11:30-1:30 each Saturday. Cost is $125 and includes a free tshirt. Due to a positive COVID-19 case on the Tioga football team, tonight's varsity football game at Tioga has been postponed. Additional testing will take place in case it was a false positive. If it is a false positive, we will look to play the game on Monday, September 21st.

Note for Parents: Please keep this in mind for when your child is sick: Distance Learning is in place for those students that have signed up for it. Students that stay home sick may log into Teams from home, but they will still be counted absent from school for that day. Parents, please call in to let the secretaries know that your child is home sick. If your child stays home, they are not allowed in any after school activities that day (practices, games, group meeting, ect.).

Attention Parents! There will be a mass community screening for 3, 4, and 5 year olds tomorrow, September 16th, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This is your last chance to sign up. Please call the school to schedule an appointment!

Here is some information about the volleyball games that are AT Nedrose tonight! -There will be three games at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00. -All games will be streamed on their Youtube channel which is found at this link: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCb-DqJRU5JSraO09SnVo3Ww -Everyone is required to wear a mask in the school unless you are sitting with members of your household and you are six feet away from anyone else. You also may take it off when you are eating.

Don't miss out on IMPORTANT alerts from South Prairie School District via our school app! Make sure you follow these steps and sign up for alerts from "South Prairie School District" AND any school that applies to you. It is important that you select "South Prairie School District" because any alert that is for the entire school will be sent that way. However, there are times where alerts are only applicable to one group that we don't want to have to send to everyone, so also mark the school that applies to you. For example, if your child is in elementary school, you should make sure "South Prairie School District" and "Elementary School" are both checked. *Important alerts for the whole school are also sent via text message (main contact number listed during registration), email, and on the school website and social media pages.

Effective 8/31/20: All students will receive free breakfast and lunch. This will continue until further notice. Free meals are for students attending South Prairie whether in school or distance learning. If a student is a distance learner, free breakfast and lunch will be available starting Tuesday, September 8th.  Distance learning families will need to contact the school if they would like to receive meals for their student at least one day prior. For distance learners, meals will consist of lunch for the day and breakfast for the next morning. The meals will need to be picked up at the school.    All lunch accounts will be credited for meals purchased as of August 31st.   Meal funds will remain in the student accounts for future lunch purchases when necessary. If students want an additional milk at lunch, they will need to purchase it. Only one milk is free.

We are looking for four people to run the chains for Thursday's junior high football game at 5:00 and for Friday's varsity football game at 6:00. Please call the high school office if you can help out!

We are sending this message to notify everyone that a positive case of COVID-19 has been reported in the high school building (9-12th grade). If you have not already been notified, your child is not considered a close contact and you do not need to take any further action. This is an informational message to keep everyone updated. As we stated in our smart restart plan, we fully anticipated there would be positive cases. School will continue to operate on Instructional Plan #2, with students and teachers in class and offsite students attending from home.
