The annual back-to-school night and picnic will be on Tuesday, August 13th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Elementary students can meet their teachers and drop off their supplies! 6-12th grade students can get their schedules, meet their teachers, find their lockers, and drop off any supplies! Families can all enjoy a hotdog picnic dinner in the elementary cafeteria! The first day of school is Thursday, August 15th!

Information for the upcoming high school volleyball season for grades 9-12! 🏐 💙 Mandatory Player/Parent Meeting - Sunday, August 18th at 5pm at South Prairie Commons. A full practice and game schedule will be handed out at this meeting as well as player/parent contracts. Tryouts - Monday, August 19th 6-745am and 3:50-5:50pm at South Prairie High School Gym - Players MUST attend both try-out sessions if they are wanting to make the team. First practice after try-outs - Tuesday, August 20th 3:50-5:50pm at South Prairie Please also make sure to have your current physical turned into the high school office BEFORE try-outs! No player is allowed to practice or try-out if there is no physical on file and there will be no make-up try-outs.

FFA projects are back from the State Fair and ready for pickup! Projects will be in the AG hallway for members and parents to pick up until August 13th. South Prairie had numerous Grand and Reserve Champion projects at the fair. Great work!

Miranda competed at the State FFA Tractor Operator event to kick off the North Dakota State Fair! Make sure to check out Ag projects exhibited in FFA hall while at the fair, some are even on the grand and reserve champion tables!!

State Fair Parking Huge shout out to Dakota Refrigeration for donating their parking lot to the South Prairie Teams to earn some extra cash for their programs! You can find us just west of the Clarion Hotel. $10 a night with all proceeds going to support South Prairie Athletic Teams.

National Tournament Final Standings 17 Royal Trap Shooters participated in this years USA Claytarget Nationals Championships. With 1800 kids registered for this years individual competition, our Royals once again held their own on the national stage. Brianna Helsene finish 3rd in the ladies division and 20th overall with a score of 99. Ethan Abel finished 67th overall with a score of 98. The rest of the finalist with, their placing and scores are: Mathew Abel 175 with a 96 Connor Johnson 177 with a 96 Ty Murphy 269 with a 95 Kash Beckedahl 331 with a 93 David Abel 378 with a 89 Logan Hanneman 380 with a 89. Brianna Helsene 3rd in the Nation Brianna Helsene shot a 99 with a reverse run of 87 to finish 3rd in the ladies division here at the 2024 USA Claytarget Championships.

Individual Qualifiers Eight Royals advanced to tomorrow's individual final at the 2024 National Championships. With 1733 individuals shooting for 400 spots in the finals it took a score of 96 to guarantee you a place in the finals.
