Max-South Prairie Speech hosted Regionals for Region 8 on April 6th at South Prairie.
In Impromptu, Calen Rohrbach placed 4th and Skylar Beck placed 2nd. Both Calen and Skylar are qualified for State!
In Humorous Interp, Mason Smith placed 5th, Maddie Hogue placed 3rd, and Josh Lindbo placed 1st. Both Maddie and Josh are qualified now for State Speech!
In Serious Prose, Mason Smith placed 6th and Alysa Rice placed 5th. Great job this season!
In Poetry, Brooke Leiss placed 7th and Brylee Beeter placed 3rd. In an unbreakable tie, Brylee State qualified! Congratulations, Brylee!
In Speech to Inform, Brylee Beeter placed 1st and Elias Jimenez placed 6th. This qualifies Brylee for State! Congratulations, Brylee!
In Speech to Entertain, Natalee Becker placed 1st! This qualifies Natalee for State! Congratulations, Natalee!

In Extemporaneous Programmed Reading, Elias Jimenez placed 3rd. Great job this season!
In Humorous Duo, Natalee Becker and Maddie Hogue placed 3rd, Emma Marten and Karl Behm placed 2nd, and Josh Lindbo and Gracie Rauschenberger placed 1st. Emma and Karl, and Josh and Gracie are all qualified for State!
In Serious Duo, Skylar Beck and Emma Marten placed 1st, Gracie Rauschenberger and Karl Behm placed 2nd, and Bryson Hagen and Jetta Wohlk placed 4th. Skylar and Emma, Gracie and Karl are all qualified for State!
Runner-Up for Region 8 Speech Champs are the Our Redeemer's Christian School Speech Team. Region 8 Speech Champs are the Max-South Prairie Speech team! Congratulations!
The Region 8 Speech Coaches voted for Region 8 Coach of the Year. 2024 Coach of the Year is Paula Rauschenberger! Congratulations Paula!
Coaches Rauschenberger and Stroschein are supremely proud of the team, their hardwork and dedication, and cannot wait to see how they progress at State.
To preclude the end of the season, the Max-South Prairie State Speech Qualifiers will be presenting their works at a showcase, April 22nd, 7 pm, at South Prairie in the Commons area. The event is open to the public. State Speech is April 27th at Mandan High School.


The spring activities are in full swing, and it's going to be busy for the Royals! All schedules are updated on the website through the end of the year. You can use the school Google calendar (found at the top of the school website) which is synced with the Events section of the website/app, OR you can use the Athletics section of the website/app to filter it by each sport.
As we know, the spring weather is unpredictable and causes a lot of schedule changes. Please check these schedules for updates. As soon as we have updates, the schedules will be changed.
*The Boys Golf schedule is only done through the month of April until other dates are confirmed.

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨, please take time to look this over with your children and sign off that you have reviewed your child's classes for next school year! This is a requirement for all students! The track and field team had their first meet indoors at MSU yesterday, and had a great start to the season!

Boys- Aidan Hawkins & Caleb Whange in the 55 dash---7.10

A few members from the South Prairie-Max Speech Team competed in a Tuesday speech meet held in Hazen.
Karl Behm got 1st in Impromptu to State Qualify and 4th in Poetry. It was HIS day! With his wins, he also earned his fourth and final leg for the ND Speech and Drama 🎭 ALL-State Team. He joins his teammates Skylar Beck, Natalee Becker, Gracie Rauschenberger, Josh Lindbo, Maddie Hogue, and Emma Marten for this honor.
Other results from Hazen: Brylee Beeter got 6th in Poetry and 3rd in inform. Natalee Becker got 3rd in Entertain. Maddie Hogue got 4th in humorous Interp. Maddie and Natalee got 3rd In humorous duo. Caylen Rohrbeck got 7th in Storytelling.
Their next meet is April 6th at home in South Prairie. The top 2-4, (depending on the number of speakers in each event) qualify for state at Regionals, so this makes it an important meet! There are plans in the making for a Speech Showcase before State Speech where our speakers will perform their pieces for our community. Look for that date soon!


TOMORROW 6-12th grade students can buy grape floats at lunch for $4, which comes with a forget-me-not flower! 🥤💜

The next speech meet for our team is Region 8 on Saturday, April 6th at South Prairie High School. It is open to the public with no admission cost to watch our speakers. It has been an absolute awesome season so far! Regionals is our most important meet of the season.


The Booster Club is looking for groups, teams, and individuals to fill some shifts for the basketball tournament this weekend. Groups and/or individuals are paid fairly well for working these shifts. The money goes into your group/team fund for various purchases by group advisors/coaches, etc. Below are the needs. If your group/team can take a shift let Mr. Routledge know!
Clean up crew: both Saturday and Sunday $200.00 each day
Concessions: Saturday---4 people—3:30-7:30 Sunday-----4 people—3:30-7:30
Admission/gate: Sunday-----1 people at South Prairie---7:30 am-11:30 am Sunday-----1 person at “Earnest Academy”---7:30 am-11:30 am
**They could also use more people for all shifts if available but the above is the minimum they need.

Student council has their table set up in the commons during lunch to buy forget-me-not flowers until next Thursday!

This weekend the Booster Club will be hosting their last travel basketball tournament for the season @ South Prairie. If you are looking for something to occupy your time, we could use your help! We are looking for adults & students to fill the shifts. Please remember that for every shift your organization works, a portion of the money raised will go to that organization. You can be part of any school organization or athletic team: baseball, softball, volleyball, cheer, football, golf, trap shooting, basketball, PTO,FFA, drama club, speech team or even for your class! Congratulations to South Prairie FFA on their completion of the Winter Career Development Event season yesterday. 10 members competed in the areas of Agricultural Sales, Agronomy, and Livestock Judging. The Ag Sales team took second place overall, narrowly missing out on a chance to compete at Nationals.
Individually, Gracie Rauschenberger was a gold award recipient, placing 5th in a field of 201 individuals. Team members Brylee Beeter, Joshua Lindbo, and Natalee Becker also took home gold awards. Jacob Kramer received a bronze award. In Agronomy, Breanna Mindt received a bronze award. Miranda Novodvorsky also competed. In the Livestock Judging event, Amber Braasch received a silver award. Bryleigh McBride and Alysa Rice also competed. Good work to all our competitors!
