SOUTH PRAIRIE IS GETTING A THERAPY DOG!
During her masters program, Ms. Sasso has been working hard on creating a therapy dog program for South Prairie. After talking to the school board and administration, we are able to start next year! Ms. Sasso will be adopting this little golden retriever this summer and will be working hard on training him to be the best little therapy pup there is. Having a therapy pup at schools will provide emotional support, improve mood, enhance social skills, increase engagement, reduce behavioral issues, provide a positive school culture, and so much more! We are very excited to see this program in the works and to see the benefits for our students and staff.
BUT we need your help to name this little guy. To submit a name idea, fill out the following form. Top suggested names will be put on Facebook for everyone to vote for their favorite! https://forms.office.com/r/wbS5VZW0rf
Ms. Sasso would like to thank the school board and her administration for the amazing support in her project. She is also looking for businesses to help financially support the pup’s training. If you know of any business looking to donate to the cause, please reach out to her.
Exciting times at South Prairie!!
