National Tournament Final Standings 17 Royal Trap Shooters participated in this years USA Claytarget Nationals Championships. With 1800 kids registered for this years individual competition, our Royals once again held their own on the national stage. Brianna Helsene finish 3rd in the ladies division and 20th overall with a score of 99. Ethan Abel finished 67th overall with a score of 98. The rest of the finalist with, their placing and scores are: Mathew Abel 175 with a 96 Connor Johnson 177 with a 96 Ty Murphy 269 with a 95 Kash Beckedahl 331 with a 93 David Abel 378 with a 89 Logan Hanneman 380 with a 89. Individual Qualifiers Eight Royals advanced to tomorrow's individual final at the 2024 National Championships. With 1733 individuals shooting for 400 spots in the finals it took a score of 96 to guarantee you a place in the finals. Moving on for the Royals is: Connor Johnson 100 Kash Beckedahl 98 David Abel 97 Mathew Abel 96 Ethan Abel 96 Brianna Helsene 96 Ty Murphy 96 Logan Hanneman 96 Team Finals will start at 9:00 with the individual finals starting at 1:00.

Trap Teams Qualify for Sunday Finals Squad #1 is sitting tied for 1st in the Nation with an opening round score of 487. Squad #2 is sitting in 40th place with a 472. Scores for Squad 1, Mathew Abel 100, Connor Johnson 99, Samuel Abel 97, David Abel 96, and Brianna Helsene 95. Scores for Squad 2 Ethan Abel 96, Connor Beckedahl 96, Josh Lindbo 95, Ty Murphy 93 and Tate Heer 92. Individual qualifying will take place tomorrow with 17 Royals trying to advance to Sundays finals.

Miranda Novodvorsky and Andrew Neumiller competed in the FFA District II Tractor Driving event in Mohall. Miranda advanced to state in the advanced division, which will be held next week at the North Dakota State Fair. Andrew received a bronze in the basic division. Good work, tractor drivers!

South Prairie FFA is bound for national competition once again! The South Prairie FFA Ag Sales team earned a second-place finish at the State FFA Winter Career Development event in March. The first-place team, Napoleon, has elected to concede their right to national competition, allowing South Prairie to compete. Team members included Jacob Kramer, Natalee Becker, Brylee Beeter, Gracie Rauschenberger and Joshua Lindbo. Becker, Beeter, Rauschenberger, and Lindbo will represent ND FFA in the Ag Sales competition October 23rd in Indianapolis, IN. This is South Prairie FFA's third straight year of qualifying for national competition and fourth event in three years. Way to go SP FFA!

Hi South Prairie family! Here is a PUPdate on our therapy dog, Roy. He has been working VERY hard on his obedience training and is one smart pup! If things keep going well, he should be able to start with the kids on the first day of school! Since this is a new program, we know there may be questions. Trap Team Wins State Title The South Prairie Trap Team brought home the North Dakota Division 3A State Title after a wind filled day of shooting in Horace. This is the 4th straight championship for the Royals! The Royals were lead by Individual High Female Shooter, Logan Hanneman with a score of 97 reverse run of 29. Brianna Helsene finished 2nd in the ladies division with a 97 with a reverse run of 22. Finishing up the team scoring for the Royals was Mathew Abel 95, Connor Johnson 95 and Josh Lindbo with a 94. The Team score of 478 was 7 better than Williston who finished with a 471. The Royals next competition will be at Nationals July 10-14 in Mason Michigan.

UNOFFICIAL ELECTIONS RESULTS The unofficial results of the June 11 school board election. Ashton Township representative - Chad Mosser 49 votes, 0 write in votes. Gasmann Township representative - Curt Olson 41 votes, Mark McMillan 8 Votes, 0 write in votes. The school board will officially canvases the election on June 24 at 6:30 pm.

Royals Trap Team is the Best in the West! The trap team shot a season high of 494 to win the Scheels Best in the West Shoot held in Minot today. Connor Johnson lead the way shooting 100 straight. He was the high overall shooter after running another 28 to win it in a shoot off. Ethan Abel, Mathew Abel and Samual Abel shot scores of 99, followed by Breanna Helene's round of 97. The Royals will compete next Sunday in the state shoot in Horace.
