The homecoming parade in Max scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled due to the impending weather. The South Prairie 6-12 classes will be doing an indoor parade/walk through the hallways instead! This was discussed further at their class meetings, and students can ask their teachers or class presidents if they have any questions about it! The class who wins the School Spirit Royal Battle will be announced in the gym immediately following the indoor parade.

𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐘𝐚𝐫𝐝 – 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧/𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 We will officially dedicate the Legacy Court Yard on September 22nd at 5:00 p.m. with a ceremonial Bell Ringing. The Legacy Court Yard is a tribute to the five original one-room schools that came together to form South Prairie School back in the late 1950s. The monument also features three different flag poles (one for the American Flag, one for the North Dakota Flag, and one for SP Royals flag). There are five benches, each representing one of the five townships. The center of the monument features the original bell from the Torning School. The patio deck features the individual bricks that have been purchased in honor of past and present South Prairie School/community members. For those that have not purchased a brick, bricks are available for purchase at a cost of $50 for a 4”x8” or $100 for an 8”x8”. To purchase a brick and have it placed in the courtyard, please contact the high school office. The South Prairie FFA will do the laser engraving on the bricks so there is a very short turnaround time for production. Following the short dedication ceremony, we will have the Douglas Sportsmen here grilling burgers for the Homecoming Tailgate. Tailgating will take place on the east side of the school next to the Legacy Court Yard.
