Board Members Recognized
At the October 20th, North Dakota School Board Association convention, Randy Korslien and Sheila Lindbo were presented certificates for their professional development and service as school board members. Mr. Korslien was recognized as a Master Board Member while Mrs. Lindo earned Veteran Board Member certification.
The NDSBA has a point system adopted whereby board members acquire points based on their involvement, with each activity given a specific value. When a board member has earned 100 points, they are designated as a Veteran Board Member. When 200 points are earned, the designation is Master Board. Points are earned through years of service, leadership roles and committee work. Mr. Korslien has served on the board for 11 years, taking a leadership role as the board president the past 6 years. Mrs. Lindbo has served on the board for 11 years additionally serving as the Vice President the past 6 years.

The Royal Representatives are a group of students (grades 6-12) who applied and were chosen by teachers to represent their grade! They are responsible for planning and organizing different activities for new students to feel welcomed and involved at South Prairie!
Today, the Royal Representatives and all new students to the school this year came together for a delicious thanksgiving dinner at Homesteaders. At the lunch, students conversed over a yummy meal and got to know each other better! We hope to make "Friendsgiving" an annual tradition! 🦃🍽❤️
