-All students should bring a water bottle to school! The water fountains are turned off, but bottle filling fountains are on for students to use!
-Doors don’t open for students to enter until 8:10 a.m. and students are to report to their first hour class right away!
Thanks for your cooperation! It’s good to be back!

1️⃣ MORE DAY!
The first day of school is TOMORROW! We are excited to have everyone back!
Things to remember BEFORE tomorrow:
-If you have not completed registration, please do so by filling out ALL of the forms on the following page: https://www.south-prairie.k12.nd.us/o/spsd/page/online-school-registration-for-2020-2021
-Students who are distance learning are REQUIRED to pick up their materials TODAY from 12:00 to 3:30.
-Parents, please go through the attached checklist with your students before they leave for school in the morning!
Things to keep in mind on the FIRST day:
-Students are required to wear a mask on the bus and in the hallways so please remember to bring one!
-Students will not be allowed in the school until 8:10 and will go straight to their classrooms/first hour class. (Check PowerSchool if you’re not sure about your first hour class)
Grades 6-12:
-Students will follow a block schedule (odd classes the first week and even classes the second week) to limit the transition time in the hallway.
-Students will not be allowed to use their lockers, so they will carry their backpack and materials from class to class.
-Schedules and planners will be distributed in their first hour class.
-9-12th graders will receive their computers in their first hour class.

IMPORTANT BACK-TO-SCHOOL INFORMATION
-Students will be REQUIRED to wear a mask on the bus, in the hallways between classes, and when entering and leaving the building.
-6-12th grade students will not use lockers (until they need to bring jackets to school). They will be able to carry backpacks throughout the day.
-Doors will open in the morning at 8:10 a.m. Students cannot be dropped off to enter the building before that time. When students enter the building, they will go straight to their classroom. The only exception is if students are grabbing a grab and go breakfast that they will take straight to their classroom.
-Students who have chosen to distance learn will need to pick up all of their materials (computers for 9-12, books, papers, and any other materials) on MONDAY from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To pick up these materials enter through door 5.
*Reminder: students who are distance learning will need to be on their computers in Microsoft Teams throughout the whole school day.

📋 Here are the elementary class lists! Check out who your teacher is!
🎒 There will be no back-to-school night this year, so students will bring supplies and meet their teachers on the first day!
👨👩👦 Preschool and Kindergarten students are allowed to have one parent walk them in to their classroom. Parents must wear masks, use hand sanitizer at the door, and enter through door 7. This will only be allowed on the first day!

Don't miss out on IMPORTANT alerts from South Prairie School District via our school app! Make sure you follow these steps and sign up for alerts from "South Prairie School District" AND any school that applies to you.
It is important that you select "South Prairie School District" because any alert that is for the entire school will be sent that way. However, there are times where alerts are only applicable to one group that we don't want to have to send to everyone, so also mark the school that applies to you.
For example, if your child is in elementary school, you should make sure "South Prairie School District" and "Elementary School" are both checked.
*Alerts are also sent via text message (main contact number listed during registration), email, and on the school website and social media pages.

During this time of so much uncertainty, we have been waiting to ask for your ideas and concerns and opinions until we received more information and guidance from the state. As we make decisions toward beginning in the fall, we are asking your opinion in regards to what our restart may look like.
Our priorities are to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff and provide the best learning opportunities possible for our students.
Please know that your ideas, concerns, and opinions are deeply valued. We know that there is not a simple or perfect solution, and we are doing our very best to meet the needs of the students, staff, and community as we move forward with developing a plan.

Congratulations to the trap team for winning the 2020 ND ATA Jr Team State Championship! Great shooting boys!
